This blog is about mountain bike racing, mtbcalendar.com and Ruby on Rails. But not necessarily in that order. In fact, it probably mostly deals with the development of the mtbcalendar.com site, which is built on Ruby on Rails. As such, you will sometimes get strange posts that mention not only microformat encoding but also singlespeed gearing.

Should you have any questions or need to contact the site admin here (advertising, technical support, comments, etc.), please email norcalmtbracing AT gmail DOT com (after replace the AT with @ and DOT with .)

The mtbcalendar.com website is built on the Ruby on Rails framework, MySQL database and a lot of typos. It would not be possible without the open source contributions of several prominent Ruby on Rails plugins:

  • acts_as_commentable
  • exception_logger
  • restful_authentication
  • acts_as_taggable_on_steroids
  • geokit
  • ym4r_gm
  • calendar_date_select
  • google_analytics
